Privacy policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
GrooveSurge is built so your music stays with you. The app processes audio on your own PC or phone, and we don’t collect personal data about you.
Who is responsible
GrooveSurge is published by Leasing Records. For privacy questions, write to support@groovesurge.com.
Your music
Audio files you open, master, trim or make videos from are processed only on your device. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else. Finished files are saved where you choose.
What the app stores on your device
Settings, your own presets, language and theme, the song database (title, artist, status and similar details you type in) and a list of which songs have been mastered. The list holds a fingerprint of the file – not the audio itself – and is only used to count free masterings.
Everything stays in the app’s own folder on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. We have no access to it.
Purchases and subscriptions
Pro purchases are handled by Google Play or Microsoft Store. We never receive your payment details – the app only learns whether you have Pro. See Google’s and Microsoft’s privacy policies for how they handle the purchase.
When the app uses the internet
The app doesn’t need the internet to process audio, and the fonts are built into the app. It only connects to check and complete purchases in the store, and when you open a link yourself, for example to a distributor.
The app has no tracking, no ads and no analytics.
The website groovesurge.com
The website uses no cookies and has no tracking or statistics tools. Your browser remembers the language you choose, stored locally on your own machine. The fonts are served from our own server.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical logs including IP addresses to deliver the pages and stop attacks.
Email to us
If you write to support, we only use your email to reply to you. It is deleted when the matter is closed.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and it does not collect information about anyone.
Your rights
Because we don’t store personal data about you, there is nothing to hand over or delete beyond email you have sent us. You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or the supervisory authority where you live.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with a new date.
